We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic and acute pain. Preferred certifications in specialize modalities, such as sports massage, prenatal massage, lymphatic, drainage, massage, trigger point, neuromuscular therapy, and other medical modalities. Must have a strong background in medical massage modalities, medical terminology, a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility with a strong commitment to helping people achieve optimal health and wellness a passion for providing exceptional patient care. **Responsibilities:**

– Conduct thorough patient assessments of patients physical conditions, medical histories, and goals to determine areas of tension and discomfort as well as appropriate massage therapy techniques.

– perform a range of massage techniques, including deep tissue, sports massage, neuromuscular, trigger point, lymphatic, massage, and or Upledger Institute craniosacral therapy to treat various chronic and acute pain management as well as anxiety or emotional distress from pain.

-utilize knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology to effectively target problem areas, and enhance the patient’s outcome with strong knowledge of anatomy terminology.

– work in conjunction with the owner to coordinate patient care and ensure the best possible approach to patient treatment.

– maintain open communication with patients regarding their progress, comfort levels, and adjustments needed during treatment.

– Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress.

– Utilize medical terminology and physiology knowledge to communicate effectively with patients.

– must be current on state, licensing requirements, continuing education and liability insurance.

**Skills:**

– Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.

– Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point and acute pain management.

– Familiarity with medical terminology and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

– Excellent patient service skills and a focus on providing exceptional care.

– Certification as a licensed massage therapist (LMT) or other relevant certifications.

– Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards

Job Types: Part-time, Contract/commission
Pay: contracted commission based From $50.00 per hour including 15 minutes setting up between patients + tips.

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
